How Do I Go About Advertising For Band Members?
I’m in High School, and I wanna start a punk rock band, with bands like Descendents, Bad Religion, Ignite and Rise Against in mind. The problem is, I live in an area without much of a musical scene to speak of. And if I advertise at school, I’ll get made fun of and/or have a bunch of poser wannabes and pseudo-rebels show up. How would you go about advertising? None of my buddies are really into good music outside of the Foo Fighters.

use Craigslist. Bad Religion is a great band! Make your songs a bit longer than theirs.

Go to music stores like Guitar Center and Sam Ash and ask them if you can put a few signs up. Or you could use myspace or facebook.
