The only instance I can think of is where the viewer is not susceptible to advertising tricks because he or she may also be an advertiser/marketing personnel, pr practitioner or journalist (or even a well educated person) and can see the transparency of the advertisement.

Hi Jlm2009: I am also in search of a work at home business. I am a stay at home Dad and would like to help out my wife with some of the finances.
I found one program (in my 3 months of searching) that I think sounds good and I do believe I am going to join soon. They claim to have 500 hours of training in several different strategy’s to make money at home.
So perhaps you can check it out and let me know what you think.

If you are a good writer, you can try freelance writing. You can provide articles for people with websites and blogs.
Another option would be online surveys. There are quite a few companies that will pay you for doing surveys online. But be aware of scams as there are plenty. To avoid scams remember one rule – a legitimate company will never ask you for sign up fee, nor there will be any fees associated with being a member. If a site asks you for a fee, then to not go there.
If you are good at a certain subject, you could help people doing their homework – there are also quite a few sites like this.
And there is also an option to start your own blog or a website but it takes longer to see an income coming and requires more work.
